Four NHL-sized rinks under one roof at 111 Midtown Bridge St, that's the scale of what Ice House of New Jersey brings to Bergen County. This isn't a single-sheet community rink. It's a full-scale ice complex built for serious skaters, competitive hockey families, and anyone who's ever wanted to learn to glide across a freshly resurfaced sheet.

Hundreds of Avalanche hockey families call this place home ice. Figure skaters sharpen their edges here. Adult league players lace up after long workdays and find the kind of game that makes the week worthwhile. The facility runs seven days a week, year-round, which means the ice is always ready when you are.

Ice House has earned its reputation as the go-to skating destination in northern New Jersey not because it's the flashiest building on the block, but because it delivers on the one thing skaters actually care about: real ice, real programs, and real competition. If skating matters to you or your kid, this is where you show up.

What We Offer

Ice skating rink rentals give teams, clubs, and private groups access to NHL-sized ice with flexible scheduling. Whether you're running a practice, a birthday party on skates, or a team scrimmage, the rinks are built for performance.

Freestyle skating sessions open the ice to figure skaters who need uninterrupted time to work on jumps, spins, and footwork. The figure skating programs provide structured coaching for skaters developing their technique at every level. On the hockey side, the Avalanche youth hockey program connects young players to organized, competitive play, while the adult hockey league keeps the game alive for grown-up players who aren't ready to hang up their gear.

From a child's first time on blades to a seasoned player's league night, Ice House runs programs designed around what skaters actually need, structured coaching, quality ice time, and a community of people who take the sport seriously.

"Huge place with several rinks (I guess 5) offering classes on different levels of ice skating and ice hockey. Although on site parking is limited, there is plenty of parking across the street at parking garage. My kid is getting ice skating classes here. Progress seems slow, it could be normal for this sport, or it could be my kid being shy. They let you borrow skates and get on the rink with your kid at second half hour of the class. I'd suggest bringing your own skates though, in-house skates were so uncomfortable I couldn't stand more than 5 minutes in them."

"Absolute disgrace of a filthy mess. Our kids team had to travel to this dump to play a NJYHL league game. The locker room was filthy with trash and spilled liquids and general nastiness. There was vomit in the hall just outside door. There was not one person available to ask for assistance with the filth. I called the phone number. No one answered. I tried to leave a message, no option available. Apparently the owners of this establishment only care about taking money in. Absolute trash hole. I would leave 0 stars if allowed."

"I signed up my 8 year old for a 10 class intro skating program. After the first class he decided he did not want to continue. I asked for a refund and was told no. I even tried to transfer the remaining classes to a cousin who was ready to take the spot. They refused that too. They offered only a future credit that I cannot use, so I am left paying for a full program that no one can attend. I cannot get my money back and I cannot give the spot to someone else. It feels inflexible, unhelpful, and very disappointing. This is not how a family focused facility should operate. One star."

"This was the worst experience we have ever had. We are extremely disappointed and upset. Our son, who is now wearing size 13 shoes after growing over the past year, started his first class today wearing his old size 11 skates purchased from your store a year ago. After waiting a long time with no greeting, the long haired male staff simply removed one insole and said they were “good to go.” We asked our son to try them again, and he said they were too tight and hurting his feet. Despite this, the staff refused to help us with a proper fitting. There was no one else in the store by the time it was our turn, as we had waited for them to finish helping everyone else. We then asked if we could at least have the skates sharpened, since they had never been sharpened since purchase. He refused again, saying he was too busy, and told us to go elsewhere. This all happened in front of our 5-year-old, who loves skating. It felt hostile, dismissive, and completely unnecessary. We live in the city, and arranging time with kids to come here is not easy. We left feeling upset and unwelcome, and our child was left disappointed and confused."

"First off, the parking might need a bit of work, especially if there are going to host district/national championships there, but the ice rinks themselves are actually very good. Some of the only rinks that actually make you feel chilly when you step inside them. My only complaint would be that the flooring around the rinks (specifically rink 1) isn’t that good. You have to be very careful to make sure your skate isn’t going to get rusted by stepping on some concrete. This also was present on the benches. I think the primary focus of being on the bench is trying to find a way to preform in the hockey game, not trying to keep your skate blades from getting rusted from all the exposed concrete. The coaches are all pretty good though."
